【右頁上段】
○海老根（エビネ）は四月の末から花が咲く。その品種は多い。花が黄色のものもあり、紫色のものもある。花色には様々な変化がある。また秋に咲く花もある。
○美人草（ビジンソウ）は三月に花が咲く。一重は本当の紅色である。千重（八重咲き）は紅色で縁が白い。一名を仙女蕎（センジョキョウ）、また御仙花（ギョセンカ）という。

○金盞花（キンセンカ）は花の形が盃のようで、色は赤い。三月に花が咲く。今は誤って金銭花（キンセンカ）というが、金銭花は別の種類である。

【Right Page, Upper Section】
○Calanthe (ebine) blooms from the end of April. There are many varieties. Some have yellow flowers, others have purple flowers. The flower colors show various changes. There are also flowers that bloom in autumn.
○Poppy (bijinsō) blooms in March. Single flowers are true crimson. Double flowers are crimson with white edges. Also called senjōkyō or gyosenkwa.
