○翼（ツバサ）は鳥の翼のことである。翅（シ）も同じ意味。大鳥を翼（ヨク）といい、小鳥を羽（ウ）という。
○尾（オ）は鳥の尾のことである。臎（スイ）も同じ意味。
○嘴（クチバシ）は鳥のくちばしのことである。喙（ケイ）も同じ意味。また吻（フン）は口の端、觜（シ）はくちばしのこと。
○卵（ラン）・雛（スウ）は諸鳥の卵のこと。鶏卵は五臓を安んじ、水臓を温める効果がある。

○Wing (tsubasa) refers to a bird's wing. Shi has the same meaning. Large birds are called yoku (wing), while small birds are called u (feather).
○Tail (o) refers to a bird's tail. Sui has the same meaning.
○Beak (kuchibashi) refers to a bird's beak. Kei has the same meaning. Also, fun refers to the corner of the mouth, and shi refers to the beak.
○Egg (ran) and chick (suu) refer to the eggs of various birds. Chicken eggs soothe the five organs and warm the water organs.

○The flood dragon (mitsuchi) is a dragon without horns, having four legs. Its back has blue spotted patterns, and its sides are beautiful like brocade. It lives in water and also in deep mountain valleys.
○The dragon (tatsu) is the chief of scaled creatures. It has eighty-one scales on its back, embodying the number nine times nine. It can summon clouds and rain.
