○蝶（ちょう）は蚕（かいこ）が変化してなる。また麦が変化して蝶となる。鳳蝶はあげはのこと。胡蝶、蛺蝶、野蛾も同じ仲間である。
○蝿（はえ）は前足で縄をなう形をする。そのため虫偏に黽（なわ）の字を書く。腐った灰の中から生じる。
○金亀（たまむし）は大きさはナタマメのようである。夏につる草の中に生じる。
○燈蛾（ひとりむし）は灯火をはら[う]

○The butterfly (chō) is formed when silkworms transform. Also, wheat transforms to become butterflies. The phoenix butterfly is the swallowtail. The tiger butterfly, fritillary butterfly, and wild moth are of the same group.
○The fly (hae) makes the shape of rope-making with its front legs. Therefore, the character is written with the insect radical and the character 黽 (rope). It emerges from rotten ash.
