現代語訳
【右丁】
御城御番ならびに居役の差し遣わしを御免になった。
一、同八辰年（1796年）三月、常詰外様士を仰せ付けられ、同五月に郎等を連れて江戸表へ罷り登った。
一、同年七月、槍術締め方（取締役）を仰せ付けられた。
一、同年八月、仮物頭を仰せ付けられ、同九月まで勤仕した。
但し、この後も仮物頭を度々仰せ付けられ、勤仕した。

一、同年十月、貞昭様の槍術御稽古の節に罷り出て、石塚市郎右衛門と対談のうえ稽古の相手を勤めるよう仰せ付けられ、御稽古の都度罷り出て御請太刀（御相手）を務めた。
但し、右の御用を勤めたことにより、年々内々に綿一把ずつを賜った。
一、同年十二月、貞昭様の御使者として出精して勤めた段を仰せ出された。

He was relieved of his duties as castle guard (o-shiro o-ban) and resident official (i-yaku).
Item: In the 3rd month of the same 8th year, the year of the Dragon (1796), he was appointed as a permanently stationed outside retainer (jōzume-tozama-shi), and in the 5th month of the same year, he traveled up to Edo accompanied by his attendants.
Item: In the 7th month of the same year, he was appointed as the spearmanship supervisor (yarijutsu shimeri-kata).
Item: In the 8th month of the same year, he was appointed as acting unit commander (kari-mono-gashira) and served in that capacity until the 9th month of the same year.
Note: After this, he was repeatedly appointed as acting unit commander and continued to serve in that role.

Item: In the 10th month of the same year, during Lord Sadaaki's spear practice sessions, he was ordered to appear and, in consultation with Ishizuka Ichirōemon, was instructed to serve as his sparring partner. He attended every practice session and served as the practice partner (o-uke-tachi).
Note: In recognition of his service in this duty, he was privately presented each year with one bundle of cotton (wadded cotton).
Item: In the 12th month of the same year, it was proclaimed that he had served diligently as Lord Sadaaki's messenger.
