...and having applied himself consistently from the outset in all matters pertaining to his concurrent appointments, exerting himself diligently not only in the deployment and management of military equipment [go-heiki no haichi] but also attending carefully to matters of expenditure [go-iri-kata], he was thereupon ordered that his precedence rank [seki] be set immediately below that of the Town Magistrate [machi-bugyō].
- In the first month of the eleventh year, the Year of the Dog [Bunsei 11, 1828]: as Nagai Magodayū was absent from duty due to illness, and as it was reported that official business could not be adequately managed by Ishizawa Tajirōemon alone, he [the subject of this genealogy] was appointed to the acting post of District Magistrate [kōri-bugyō kari-yaku], and was ordered to perform duties limited to investigative matters [tadashi go-yō].
- In the second month of the same year: as Nagai Magodayū was ordered to retire from his post, he was ordered to continue in his acting role [kari-yaku] as before, until such time as further official appointments should be made.

- In the tenth month of the same year: following the departure of Ishizawa Tajirōemon, who had obtained permission to return to Aizu, he was ordered to additionally take charge of his current regular duties [tōyō-kin] as well as the concurrent post of Shipping Magistrate [fune-bugyō].
*Note: After this point, he was repeatedly ordered to assume the acting concurrent posts of District Magistrate and Shipping Magistrate.*
- In the third month of the same year: as the administrative procedures and customary practices [go-yō-suji go-furi-ai] at this location had been revised on this occasion, the investigative duties [tadashi-kata go-yō] of the acting District Magistrate were to have been returned; however, he was ordered to continue investigating and concluding the cases already under inquiry [tadashi-kakari-guchi no tadashi].
