一、同年九月、相州御備場において、最初より本務・兼務ともに引き続き出精して相勤め、多年にわたり勤労致し候につき、御褒美として御召古御上下一具を下し置かれ候事。
一、同六未年三月、先祖の年忌に相当り候につき、会津表へ罷り下り墓参仕りたく、依って往来の外、三十日の御暇を下し置かれたく、且つ御下向の節、相応の御用を仰せ付け下し置かれたき旨、願い申し上げ

...(continued) he was ordered to serve as a messenger for the coastal defense [*o-katame shisha*], and as compensation for expenses incurred thereby, he was granted two *ryō* in gold.
- In the ninth month of the same year: having served diligently from the outset in the Sagami Province defense post [*Sōshū o-bibagjō*], fulfilling both his primary and concurrent duties without interruption, and having rendered many years of dedicated service, he was granted one set of formal ceremonial *kamishimo* [formal upper and lower garment ensemble worn by samurai] drawn from the lord's own used garments [*o-meshifuru*], as a mark of commendation.
- In the third month of the sixth year [of Bunsei], the Year of the Ram [1823]: on the grounds that the occasion corresponded to the anniversary memorial service [*nenki*] for his ancestors, he petitioned that he be permitted to travel down to Aizu to visit the graves, requesting thirty days of leave in addition to the travel time, and furthermore requesting that, at the time of the lord's own journey down [to Aizu], he be assigned appropriate duties in attendance;
