1. In the 3rd month of Enpō 2, the Year of the Tiger [1674], in accordance with his father's petition, he was appointed to take over his father's guard duties (*bansotsu*), and served as castle guard (*oshiro goban*) in the unit of Sugita Gorōbei.
2. In the 3rd month of the following year, the Year of the Hare [Enpō 3, 1675], as the unit commander Sugita Gorōbei was relieved of his post, [Jirōzaemon] was transferred to the unit of Akabane Ninuemon to fill the successor post.
3. In the 4th month of [Enpō] 6, the Year of the Horse [1678], he traveled to Edo for regular guard duty (*kinban*), and returned [to Aizu] in the 10th month of the same year.

4. In the 12th month of Tenna 3, the Year of the Boar [1683], he was granted, without dispute, the inherited stipend (*atoshiki gochigyō*) of two hundred and fifty *koku*.
5. In the 10th month of Genroku 3, the Year of the Horse [1690], he was appointed to the post of inspector (*metsuke*).
6. In the 6th month of [Genroku] 7, the Year of the Dog [1694], upon the lord's visit to Aizu [from Edo], he returned [to Edo] to meet and escort the lord, and descended [to Aizu] in attendance in the same month.
7. In the 11th month of [Genroku] 9, the Year of the Rat [1696], he traveled to Edo for unscheduled guard duty (*fuji kinban*), and returned [to Aizu] in the 3rd month of the following Year of the Ox [1697].
8. In the 11th month of [Genroku] 13, the Year of the Dragon [1700], he was appointed to the post of unit commander (*monogashira*), and was granted an additional stipend (*oyakuryō*) of fifty *koku*.
