一　宝永二酉年十二月、願いの通り、忰（せがれ）孫三郎の御番代を仰せ付けられ候事。

1. In the 12th month of Hōei 2, the Year of the Rooster [1705], in accordance with his petition, his son Magonosaburō was appointed to take over his guard duties (*bansotsu*).

2. In the 1st month of Shōtoku 2, the Year of the Dragon [1712], he died of illness at the age of sixty. Posthumous Buddhist name: [left blank in the original].

1. In the 3rd month of Enpō 6, the Year of the Horse [1678], having previously been granted leave, he was sent as an adopted son (*yōshi*) to Yamaguchi Heibei, a retainer of Lord Sakai Saemonno-jō; however, he absconded and came to this domain [Aizu]. Thereafter, he went to reside with Yoshida Kubei, a retainer of Lord Ukawa Buzen-no-kami.
