現代語訳

入れを行う田畑の勘定が残っている様子であれば、八つ半時にも仕舞うべきである。一日限りで請帳ができるようにすること。

一、右の請帳は横帳にて村方へ一日限り、または二日程ずつ相渡し、村役人立会いのもと持主のために改め、一村が済んだならば奥書印形を申すべきである。もっとも右帳面の内一枚ごとに代官中三名が記印すべきであり、消字または貼字などにも印形を致すこと。

一、諸帳面類の仕立て方は別帳の通りに心得ること。

右の趣旨を心得のために相達し置く。なお、また気付く義があれば、その都度相伺うこと。以上

英語訳

If there remains calculation work for rice fields and dry fields requiring surveying, finish even at half past eight (yatsu-han). Ensure that the contract ledger (ukechō) can be completed within one day.

1. The aforementioned contract ledger should be in horizontal format (yokochō) and delivered to the village for one day, or for periods of about two days each. With village officials present, examine it for the landowners, and when one village is completed, apply the final endorsement and seal (okuaki ingyō). Moreover, for each page of the ledger, three local magistrates (daikan) should record their seals, and seals should also be applied to any erasures or additions.

1. The preparation of various ledger documents should follow the separate ledger as a guide.

The above points are communicated for your understanding. Furthermore, if any matters come to attention, inquire about them each time. That is all.
