【む】幸橋御門内にて、松平甲斐守様・伊東修理太夫様の屋敷焼ける。南部美濃守様焼ける。薩州（束の誤記か）屋敷焼ける。少々焼ける。山下御門・日比谷御門外は少破損。
【う】桜田けんぼう町の自身番より、同松平兵部様の表長屋まで焼ける。西方、伏見町・鍛冶町・窪町・太左衛門町・備前町・因幡町・和泉町・善左衛門町、この辺りは潰家多し。愛宕下・西ノ窪・飯倉・麻布・市兵衛町・六本木辺りまで大破なし。半蔵御門外の御大名諸屋敷・町家ともに少々破損。外桜田・赤坂御門内・三部坂・山王社は無事。霞ヶ関・虎ノ御門・新シ橋は少破損。ただし、江戸中の荒増（あらまし）を記すのみにて、詳しくは筆に尽くしがたし。
此度の大地震につき、江戸中ことごとく潰家多きゆえ、御仁君より夫々御救米を下し置かれ、猶また家蔵を失い宿所に困り候者には御救小屋を立て置かれ、誠に厚き御めぐみこそ、ありがたき次第なり。

[mu] Within Yukibashi Gate, the residences of Lord Matsudaira, Governor of Kai, and Lord Ito, Junior Superintendent (Shuri-no-taifu), burned. The residence of Lord Nanbu, Governor of Mino, burned. The Satsuma domain residence burned. [Additional unspecified residences] suffered minor fire damage. Outside Yamashita Gate and Hibiya Gate, there was minor damage.
[u] From the neighborhood watch station (jishinban) in Sakurada Kenbō-machi, fire burned as far as the front row house of Lord Matsudaira, Governor of Hyōbu, in the same area. To the west, in Fushimi-machi, Kaji-machi, Kubo-machi, Tazaemon-machi, Bizen-machi, Inaba-machi, Izumi-machi, and Sazaemon-machi, there were many collapsed buildings. From Atagoashita through Nishinokubo, Iikura, Azabu, Ichibei-machi, and as far as Roppongi, there was no major damage. Outside Hanzō Gate, the various daimyo residences and townspeople's houses both suffered minor damage. Soto-Sakurada, the area within Akasaka Gate, Sanbe-zaka, and Sanno Shrine were undamaged. Kasumigaseki, Toranomon, and Shinshi Bridge suffered minor damage. However, this is merely a general account of conditions throughout Edo — the full details defy description by the brush.
On account of this great earthquake, collapsed buildings were extremely numerous throughout all of Edo; accordingly, the benevolent lord generously distributed relief rice to each [affected person]. Furthermore, for those who had lost their homes and storehouses and were in difficulty finding lodging, relief shelters were erected. Truly, this profound benevolence is a matter for the deepest gratitude.
