【む】幸橋御門内の松平甲斐守様、伊東修理太夫様が焼失。南部美濃守様も焼失。薩摩藩束屋敷も焼失し、少々焼失。山下御門、日比谷御門外は少し破損。【う】桜田剣坊町の自身番から同松平兵部様の表長屋まで焼失。
西方の伏見町、鍛冶町、久保町、太左衛門町、備前町、稲葉町、和泉町、善左衛門町、このあたりは倒壊家屋が多数。△愛宕下西久保、飯倉、麻布市兵衛町、六本木あたりまでは大きな破損なし。△
半蔵御門外の御大名諸屋敷、町家ともに少々破損。△外桜田、赤坂御門内、三都坂、山王社は無事。霞が関、虎ノ門、新橋は少し破損。ただし江戸中の概要を記すのみで、詳細は筆に尽くし難い。
この度の大地震により江戸中ことごとく倒壊家屋が多いため、御仁君（将軍）よりそれぞれ御救米を下され、なお家蔵を失い宿所に困っている者には御救小屋を建てられ、誠に厚い御恵みこそありがたい次第である。

[Section む] Within Saiwai-bashi Gate, the residences of Matsudaira Kai-no-kami and Ito Shuri-dayū were burned. The residence of Nambu Mino-no-kami was also burned. The Satsuma domain's soku residence was burned, with some damage. Yamashita Gate and Hibiya Gate areas suffered minor damage. [Section う] From the neighborhood watch post in Sakurada Kenbō-chō to the front row house of Matsudaira Hyōbu was burned.
To the west, in Fushimi-chō, Kaji-chō, Kubo-chō, Tazaemon-chō, Bizen-chō, Inaba-chō, Izumi-chō, and Zenzaemon-chō, there were many collapsed houses. △ From Atago-shita Nishi-no-kubo, Iikura, Azabu Ichibee-chō to Roppongi area, there was no major damage. △
Outside Hanzō Gate, the daimyo residences and townhouses suffered minor damage. △ Soto-Sakurada, inside Akasaka Gate, Miyako-zaka, and Sannō Shrine were safe. Kasumigaseki, Toranomon, and Shinbashi suffered minor damage. However, this records only the general situation in Edo, as the details are too extensive to describe fully.
Due to this great earthquake causing numerous collapsed houses throughout Edo, His Benevolent Lord (the Shogun) granted relief rice to each area, and for those who lost their homes and storehouses and had nowhere to stay, relief shelters were erected - truly a most gracious blessing for which we are grateful.
