等松田大丞ニ対シ当藩御保護ノ為メ分遣隊被置ノ御達《割書：曩｜ニ》

事修業ノ為メ生徒上京致サスヘシトノ御達等ハ遵奉致ス
ヘキ旨ノ書面ヲ指出シ面テ更ニ進貢使慶賀使及ヒ冊封ヲ
受クル等ハ従来皇国ト清国トハ父母トシ仕ヘ来リタル国
柄故今俄ニ被差止候テハ親子ノ情義絶ユルモ同然ニ付是
迄通被仰付度又年号ノ儀モ皇国ヘ対シテハ皇暦ヲ用ヒ清

八月五日、摂政伊江王子・三司官浦添親方・池城親方・富川親方等は松田大丞に対し、当藩御保護のため分遣隊を置かれるとの御達（以前に大久保内務卿より在東京池城親方に渡された太政大臣からの御達をいう）ならびに刑法取調および学事修業のため生徒を上京させるべしとの御達等は遵奉すべき旨の書面を提出し、面談でさらに次のように述べた。進貢使・慶賀使および冊封を受けること等は、従来皇国と清国とを父母として仕えてきた国柄であるため、今急に差し止められては親子の情義が絶えるも同然であるので、これまで通り仰せ付けられたい。また年号の件も、皇国に対しては皇暦を用い、清国に対しては清暦を用いるのは両国に属するやむを得ない事情によるものであるので、これまで通り仰せ付けられたい。また職制改革の件は、国柄に応じ民心に従って定め

August 5th: Regent Prince Ie, the Sanshikan Urasoe Ufuya, Ikeshiro Ufuya, and Tomigawa Ufuya submitted a written statement to Deputy Matsuda stating that they would comply with the official communications regarding the deployment of a detachment for the protection of the domain (referring to the communication from the Minister of State previously delivered by Interior Minister Okubo to Ikeshiro Ufuya in Tokyo), as well as the directive to send students to Tokyo for criminal law investigation and educational training. In person, they further stated: Regarding tributary missions, congratulatory missions, and receiving investiture ceremonies, these practices stem from our domain's tradition of serving both the Imperial Country and Qing China as parent nations. If these were to be suddenly prohibited, it would be equivalent to severing the bonds of filial affection, so we request that these be continued as before. Regarding the era name issue, using the Imperial calendar for the Imperial Country and the Qing calendar for Qing China is an unavoidable matter due to our allegiance to both countries, so we request that this be continued as before.
