一近来百姓共之内奢ニ長し身之廻りを飾り町人之風儀見習候様ニ相成別而御城下
近キ村々ハ猶更町人之風儀ニ見習安く農業疎ニ相成百姓之風儀悪く甚心得違
之事ニ候
一下たる者常に正直ニして皆能家業を励ミ身持をへりくたり倹約を守り年
毎ニ取納る分際を能はかりて夫ニ応して米銭を遣ひ用る事を致し万の奢
をやめ費を省キ万事七分に相暮すを要用与可致事
一農業を励ミ百姓身分相応ニいたし蓑笠を着し草鞋相用髪も稾ニ而
結ひ候程之心得ニ可致事住居も天下の御定法ニハ根太半分土間半分と申

一、近来百姓共の内奢侈に長じ身の回りを飾り町人の風儀を見習うようになり、別して御城下近き村々はなおさら町人の風儀に見習いやすく、農業疎かになり百姓の風儀悪く甚だ心得違いのことに候
一、下たる者常に正直にして皆よく家業を励み、身持ちをへりくだり倹約を守り、年毎に取り納める分際をよく計って夫に応じて米銭を遣い用いることをいたし、万の奢りをやめ費用を省き、万事七分に相暮らすを要用と致すべきこと
