海違変之儀無之哉折々無油断相考可申事
一遠目鏡随分太切ニ取扱可申事勿論慰ハ不及申若被相頼候とも為見候事

〇御供押御足軽并御屋敷前固メ等相勤候御足軽共其外御前様定姫様御
出之節御供侍中へ刀指御貸人之者へ是迄絹羽織御貸被成候へ共向後夏冬共ニ
紬単羽織御貸被成候筈
但当分御有合之内ハ是迄之通古損仕替之節ゟ紬単羽織ニ相改可申事且又
是迄御貸人之内ニも定式絹羽織相渡置候分是迄之通御貸被成候尤右之内ニも
追々御吟味之上御省略可被仰付事

〇於在方操歌舞妓其外見セ物遊ひ物之類前々之通村中ニ指置申間敷事ニ候
自今以後村方ゟ相願候共取次被申間敷候此段為心得申渡候
但三国金津ハ所柄之事故是迄之通ニ候

〇近来諸下代之内明キ申所或ハ入替等有之節ハ手筋を以夫々御役方へ相歎キ候
者共有之様粗相聞心得違之事ニ候以来明キ申所入替等有之節手筋を以
相歎候者之儀ハ縦令抜順ニ指向候者ニ而も御抜シ被成間敷候右体之節ハ御役筋
を以御吟味之上御抜被成候間心得違無之様兼而支配末々迄急度可被申渡置

御国之内御暇之儀ニ付三月十五日御書付を以諸向へ令通達候
其節二男三男御暇之儀ハ御書付ニ無之候ニ付此度左之通相極候
現代語訳
海違変の儀がないか、折々油断なく相考えるべき事
一、遠目鏡は十分大切に取り扱うべき事。勿論、慰みは申すに及ばず、もし頼まれたとしても見せる事は堅く御法度であるから、その旨をよく心得るべき事
一、遠目鏡の箱に御番人共は常々封印を付けておくべき事。もし御番人が病死等の節は、助番の者が受け取り、跡役が仰せ付けられた節に相渡すべき事。これらの趣旨を等閑にすることなく、急度相守るべき事

但し当分御有り合いの内は、これまでの通り。古損し仕替えの節より紬単羽織に相改めるべき事。且つまた、これまで御貸人の内にも定式絹羽織を相渡し置いた分は、これまでの通り御貸しになる。尤も右の内にも追々御吟味の上、御省略を仰せ付けられる事

○Regarding the foot soldiers who serve as escort guards and guard the front of the residence, and other foot soldiers, as well as those who carry swords for the retainers during the outings of His Lordship and Princess Sada: while silk haori jackets have been lent to them until now, henceforth both summer and winter, plain silk single haori shall be lent instead.
However, for the time being, existing items shall continue to be used as before. When old or damaged items are replaced, they shall be changed to plain silk single haori. Moreover, those who have already been given regulation silk haori may continue to use them as before. However, even these shall gradually be subject to review and economization.

○Regarding puppet shows, kabuki, and other spectacles and entertainments in rural areas: as before, these shall not be permitted in villages. Henceforth, even if villages make requests, they shall not be forwarded. This directive is issued for your understanding.

In such cases, selections shall be made through official channels after proper examination. This must be thoroughly communicated to all levels of subordinates to prevent misunderstandings. 7th month, 25th day
