一町内へ盗賊立入候節自身番初駆集り木戸等〆召捕候儀も可有之候処是迄左様之
儀も不相聞畢竟番人油断自身番之儀も名目而已相心得〆り方心配り薄故
番人立置詮も無之事ニ候町役人初〆り方実意に相心得候ハヽ〆り方可行届事
一自然右体之儀有之節町切ニ兼而手筈談置召捕方も可有之等閑ニ無之様常々
厚談置可申事

〇川除普請之儀当七月各遂熟談仕法書被指出候ニ付取行之儀其節申渡候猶

様御役先銘々へ可被申付事
一出役人百姓共ゟ種々品を付飲食を初万事馳走を致度■■候体ニ相聞候是ハ上を
敬シ候形合ニ可有之候へ共畢竟無益之事ニ候間御定を越少分之儀ニ而も馳走費之

一、町内へ盗賊が立ち入った際、自身番をはじめとして駆け集まり、木戸等を締めて召し捕ることもあるはずですが、これまでそのような事も聞かれません。結局のところ番人の油断で、自身番の事も名目だけと心得て、締まり方への心配りが薄いため、番人を立て置く意味もない事です。町役人をはじめとして締まり方を実意に心得れば、締まり方は行き届くはずです。
一、万一そのような事がある際は、町ごとに兼ねて手筈を談じ置き、召し捕り方も等閑にならないよう、常々厚く談じ置くべき事です。
一、家内へ忍び入る盗賊に間違いない場合は、遠慮なく打ち伏せるべきです。その際どのようにして打ち殺しても構いません。

一、在方へ出役する人の野扶持で賄いを受ける件について、前々より仰せ出された御定めで、兼ねて銘々承知の事ですが、なお又少分でも百姓共の費用にならないよう、急度心得て、飲食をはじめ万事馳走を受けないよう、御役先の銘々へ申し付けるべき事です。
一、出役人に百姓共より種々の品を付けて、飲食をはじめ万事馳走をしたいという体に聞こえます。これは上を敬する形合いにあるでしょうが、結局無益の事ですので、御定めを越えた少分の事でも馳走費の事は致さないよう、大庄屋並びに村役人共は勿論、惣百姓共へ厳しく申し付けるべきです。たとえ費用がない事でも、御定め外の事が聞こえた際は、その軽重を糺した上で、急度咎めを申し付けますので、この旨も申し聞かせるべき事です。
ただし芝原上水請負人共に心得違いの事共がある趣が聞こえますので、吟味の上、形合いに拘る致し方であれば、急度改めるよう申し付けるべき事です。
一、先達て提出された仕法書の内で、御目付組の者共が出役して諸向と入り交わり吟味を遂げるようにとの事ですが、御目付組の者共の件については、振り離れて差し出し、万端御目付より承り届ける件ですので、この段心得るべき事です。

〇右同断で、なお又厚く申し談じて御役先の銘々へ急度申し渡すべきです。外に別紙二通をお渡しします。
