御目付へ
〇御座所御庭御泉水落水末前々ゟ呑水ニ引取候面々ゟ水道水落之儀
自普請ニ而可致儀ニ有之候得共御年限中ニ候得ハ此度之儀ハ右水道水
落之儀上ゟ此度限り新ニ被成下候間川口御門脇ゟ御堀へ落出来候様夫々
可被申付候尤以後ハ右水道損候節ハ水引取候面々ゟ申談候而自普請ニ致候様
被仰出候 但本文之趣水引取候面々へも可被申聞候

万端不任心底候諸国之釣合も有之先方心得違ニ相成候而ハ如何之義
存候間此段役院方へ為心得可被申越候

去ル酉年被仰出候御領分囲米之儀最初被仰出候節可成丈籾ニ而取詰
置候様籾ニ無之分ハ年々詰替可申旨被仰出候処籾囲之分受病等或ハ失墜
相立候由之申立を以米ニ引替被仰渡候も有之候得共右之通追々米囲而已
相増候而ハ最初可成丈籾ニ而囲候様被仰出候御趣意にも振レ候ニ付以後者
格別之訳無之分米ニ引替候義ハ容易ニ難相成事ニ候且是迄米ニ而被囲
置候分も籾ニ致し候方ハ御趣意ニも相叶候事ニ候間此段も無急度申達置
候様被仰渡候間米ニ而囲被置候分此以後籾ニ被引替候ハヽ其訳御勘定所へ相届

御目付へ
○御座所御庭の御泉水の落水の末を、以前から飲み水に引き取っている人々からの水道の水落としの件について、自費普請で行うべき事柄ではありますが、御年限中のことなので、今度の件については右の水道水落としの件を上から今度限り新たに下賜されますので、川口御門脇から御堀へ落ち出すことができるよう、それぞれ申し付けるべきです。もっとも以後は右の水道が損じた節には、水を引き取っている人々が申し合わせて自費普請で行うよう仰せ出されました。 ただし本文の趣旨を水を引き取っている人々へも申し聞かせるべきです。

○善光寺如来が近々巡行される予定です。ところで、これまでの巡行先の所々で丁寧な取り扱いがなされていると聞いており、承知していることと思います。ご承知の通り、今年は旱魃による損害のため御取箇が相当減少し、困窮している折でもあります。その上、公儀へも御届けがあり、格別の御倹約中のことですから、万端心底に任せられません。諸国との釣り合いもあり、先方が心得違いをするようなことがあってはいかがなものかと存じますので、この段を役院方へ心得のため申し越すべきです。

御書付
去る酉年に仰せ出された御領分囲米の件について、最初に仰せ出された節には、できる限り籾で取り詰めて置くよう、籾でない分は年々詰め替えるべき旨が仰せ出されました。ところが、籾囲いの分が病気等あるいは失墜したという申し立てにより、米に引き替えることを仰せ渡されることもありましたが、右の通り追々米囲いばかりが増加しては、最初にできる限り籾で囲うよう仰せ出された御趣意にも反することになるため、以後は格別の理由がない分については米に引き替えることは容易には認められないことです。かつ、これまで米で囲って置いた分も籾にする方が御趣意にも叶うことですので、この段も間違いなく申し伝えて置くよう仰せ渡されましたので、米で囲い置かれた分をこの以後籾に引き替える場合は、その理由を御勘定所へ届け出るよう行うべきです。右の趣旨を戸田采女正殿へ仰せ渡されたため申し伝えます。

御領分囲米の件について、御分地御末家の分は御本家から一同に御勘定所へ兼ねてより届け出しておいた分は別段申し達しませんので、別紙の通り申し通すよう行うべきことです。 閏十一月

○Regarding the water drainage from people who have been drawing water for drinking from the runoff of the ornamental pond in His Lordship's garden, while this water drainage work should normally be done at their own expense through private construction, since this is during the designated year period, for this occasion only, the water drainage work will be newly granted from above as a one-time measure. Therefore, arrangements should be made so that water can flow out into the moat from beside the Kawaguchi Gate. However, hereafter, when this waterway becomes damaged, those who draw water should consult together and perform private construction at their own expense, as has been ordered. Note that the content of this main text should also be communicated to those who draw water.

To the Town Magistrate
○The Zenkoji Nyorai will make a pilgrimage tour soon. In this regard, we have been informed that careful treatment has been provided at various locations during previous pilgrimages, and we assume you are aware of this. As you know, due to drought damage this year, tax collection has decreased considerably, and we are in difficult circumstances. Moreover, since reports have been made to the shogunate and we are in a period of exceptional frugality, we cannot act freely in all matters. There are also considerations of balance with other provinces, and it would be problematic if the other party were to misunderstand the situation. Therefore, this matter should be communicated to the temple administration for their understanding.

Regarding the domain's emergency rice reserves ordered in the past Year of the Rooster, when first ordered, it was commanded that they should be stored as unhulled rice (籾) as much as possible, and portions not in unhulled rice should be replaced annually. However, there have been claims that portions of unhulled rice storage suffered from disease or spoilage, leading to orders to replace them with hulled rice. But if hulled rice storage continues to increase in this manner, it would contradict the original intention of storing as much as possible in unhulled rice form. Therefore, hereafter, replacing with hulled rice without special reasons will not be easily permitted. Furthermore, even portions currently stored as hulled rice would better serve the original intention if converted to unhulled rice, so this matter should also be communicated without fail. If portions currently stored as hulled rice are hereafter replaced with unhulled rice, the reason should be reported to the Accounting Office. This matter has been communicated as it was ordered to Toda Uneme-no-sho.
