越前国坂井郡北潟浦
〇右ハ去寅年海辺村付村方御尋之節郡方ゟ認相廻り其趣を以取調御帳
御城へ相納候然ル処去月廿八日御城へ御呼出ニ而御達有之候ハ前々指出候
御国絵図并郷村高辻帳村寄ニも北方浦と有之候何頃ゟ文字認替候哉
御節相糺申達候様ニとの儀ニ候於此表御評議有之則御朱印ニ指添候高
辻帳村寄并御国絵図等御吟味有之候処何も北方浦与認有之候手間取
候而ハ却而如何ニ候書役先達而之ハ書損と申立引替相済申候依之以来認
方心得違無之北方と相認候様夫々へ可被仰付事御座候

御普請無拠場所故壱ケ所ニ過分之御費ニて当御時節柄之儀猶以於同席心痛至極之事ニ候向々
役方ニ而心得有之儀とハ存候へ共就諸事少分之御無益も無之様取計万端厳重ニ相勤候様向々

〇先年御趣意被仰出候節御貸挟箱面々自分修覆ニ被仰付候へ共難儀之趣ニ付前々之通御貸
挟箱ニ被仰出候仍之先達而向々へ御渡被置候挟箱御勘定所へ可致上納旨被仰出候事

〇御家中至而困窮之趣甚御苦労ニ思召候為御手当去寅年御貸銀当暮上納

〇此度天徳寺ゟ書付を以御代々様之内御像御位牌先般御納有之其後御供
養料無之ニ付御手当相願候旨各被相達依之御供養料一体吟味之上以上別紙之
通改而被仰出候間此段可被取扱候右之趣御奉行へも為心得各ゟ可被申聞候

ただし右同様、御用人残らず、同見習残らず、金津奉行、町奉行、御預所元締役、御奉行残らず、御目付残らずへも仰せ出されること

別紙の通り江戸表から申し来たので、そのように心得るべき旨
越前国坂井郡北潟浦
○右は去る寅年、海辺村付村方御尋ねの節、郡方から書いて回り、その趣旨をもって取り調べ御帳を御城へ納めた。しかるところ去月二十八日御城へお呼び出しで御達があったのは、前々に差し出した御国絵図ならびに郷村高辻帳村寄にも「北方浦」とあるが、いつ頃から文字を書き替えたのか、その節を調べて申し達するようにとの件である。こちらで御評議があり、すなわち御朱印に指し添えた高辻帳村寄ならびに御国絵図等を御吟味があったところ、いずれも「北方浦」と書いてある。手間取ってはかえっていかがなものか。書役が先達ては書き損じと申し立て、引き替えが済んだ。これにより以後書き方に心得違いなく「北方」と書くよう、それぞれへ仰せ付けることがある。

御奉行へ
○去る八月二十八日・二十九日の大出水により、多分の御損失、不時の御物入りとなり、恐れ入る儀である。とりわけ芝原上水口の御普請は避けられない場所のため、一箇所に過分の御費用で、当御時節柄のこと、なおさら同席において心痛至極のことである。向々役方において心得ある儀とは存ずるが、諸事について少分の御無益もないよう取り計らい、万端厳重に相勤めるよう向々へ十分申し聞かせるべきこと

○先年御趣意を仰せ出された節、御貸挟箱を面々自分で修復するよう仰せ付けられたが、難儀の趣きにより、前々の通り御貸挟箱に仰せ出された。よって先達て向々へお渡し置かれた挟箱を御勘定所へ上納すべき旨仰せ出されること
十一月五日

○御家中がまことに困窮の趣き、甚だ御苦労に思し召される。御手当てのため、去る寅年の御貸銀当暮上納の分を御見延べになり下されること

○この度天徳寺から書付をもって、御代々様のうち御像・御位牌を先般御納めあり、その後御供養料がないため御手当てを願う旨、各々相達されたことによって、御供養料一体を吟味の上、以上別紙の通り改めて仰せ出されるので、この段取り扱うべきこと。右の趣き御奉行へも心得のため各々から申し聞かせるべきこと

Kitagata-ura, Sakai District, Echizen Province
○ The above matter: In the previous Tiger Year, when inquiries were made about coastal villages, the district office wrote around and based on that, an investigation ledger was compiled and submitted to the castle. However, last month on the 28th, there was a summons to the castle with an announcement that in the previously submitted provincial maps and village tax registers, it was written as "Kitagata-ura," but they asked when the characters were changed and to investigate and report on this matter. Deliberations were held here, and when the tax registers and provincial maps attached to the official seal were examined, all showed "Kitagata-ura." Since delays would be problematic, the scribe claimed it was a writing error from before and the matter was resolved by replacement. Therefore, henceforth, to avoid mistakes in writing, it should be written as "Kitagata," and this should be ordered to all respective parties.

To the Magistrate
○ Due to the great flood on August 28th and 29th, there were considerable losses and unexpected expenses, which is truly regrettable. Particularly, the construction work at Shibahara upper water inlet is unavoidable, causing excessive costs in one location, and given the current circumstances, this causes extreme distress among colleagues. Although the various departments should understand this matter, they should handle all affairs to avoid even small wasteful expenses and perform all duties strictly, and this should be thoroughly communicated to all departments.
October 16th
In Edo To Administrators and Magistrates
○ When the policy was announced in previous years, individuals were ordered to repair their own borrowed document boxes, but due to difficulties, it was ordered to return to the previous system of lending document boxes. Therefore, the document boxes previously distributed to various parties should be returned to the accounting office.
November 5th
To Magistrates and Inspector in charge of permits
○ The retainers are in extreme poverty, which causes great concern. As relief measures, the repayment of silver loans from the Tiger Year due this winter end is extended.
December 8th
In Edo Tagaya Gonbei
○ Recently, Tentoku-ji temple submitted a written request stating that portraits and memorial tablets of successive lords were previously enshrined, but since there is no memorial service fee thereafter, they request financial support. Based on this communication from various parties, after examining the memorial service fees overall, new orders have been issued as per the separate document above, and this matter should be handled. This matter should also be communicated to magistrates for their information by all parties.
