〇各当御番出勤之節并退出之節御徒目付召連御錠口外御座敷向御玄関
御廊下其外表向之分ハ不残見廻り候様被仰出候左様可被相心得候尤詰合御
番士之面々へ可被挨拶候
但見廻り之節損所等も有之候ハヽ勿論之儀御建具類ニ至迄見苦敷儀も
候ハヽ吟味之上繕之儀御用人共へ可被申達候

○各々当番出勤の際および退出の際、御徒目付を召し連れて御錠口外、御座敷向、御玄関、御廊下その外表向の分は残らず見廻りするよう仰せ出された。そのように心得るべきである。もっとも詰め合わせの御番士の面々へ挨拶すべきである。
但し見廻りの際、損傷箇所等もあれば勿論のこと、御建具類に至るまで見苦しい件もあれば、吟味の上、繕いの件を御用人共へ申し達すべきである。

In Edo Inspector (Ometsuke)
○It has been ordered that when each person reports for duty during their guard shifts and when departing, they shall bring along the foot soldiers' inspectors (okachiatsuke) and conduct rounds of all public areas including outside the locked entrance, the reception rooms, the main entrance, corridors, and other front-facing areas without exception. This should be understood accordingly. It is essential to greet the guard samurai who are on duty together.
However, during rounds, if there are damaged areas, it goes without saying, but even if there are unsightly conditions extending to the fixtures and furnishings, after investigation, matters of repair should be reported to the chamberlains.
