〇私支配下牧野嶋村百姓専助与申もの前々ゟ馬喰商売致来り御家中■下シ之
乗馬等壱疋弐疋ツヽハ繋置候ニ付居屋敷之内ニ馬場之形も有之候間持合之馬借
馬ニ致シ少々ツヽ借馬代を取御納所之多足ニ致度旨願之通御免被成候其段可被申渡旨
猶又別紙之通可申付旨

一専助屋敷之内馬場ニおゐてハ軽キ御扶持人御家中軽キ奉公人或町人百姓たりとも望
次第為乗候而も御貪着無之事
但屋敷外ニ而ハ右体軽キ者共へ借馬を為乗候儀ハ御法も有之候得ハ堅相成不
申事
一御家中之面々遠乗或ハ西之馬場桜馬場へ引出し為乗候事ハ不苦候事
但専助屋敷内ニおゐて軽キ者共と打込為乗候様相成候而ハ不礼咎申義出来可
申儀ニ候ヘハ専助於屋敷内ハ堅可為無用事

右之趣為心得御別当役へも可申聞旨ニ付国分次郎大夫相招申達之月番江口左十郎
思召を以御家中へ被仰出御書付 諸月番へ
一近頃御家中形合悪敷振廻集会等之節猥成酒宴等ニ及候儀ハ不宜候畢竟右
体之儀有之候得ハ自然と取〆り不申不埒之儀も可有之候ニ付以来体之儀ハ堅可為無
用事
但家内有之面々ハ別而心得も可有之事
一家内他行之儀近頃猥ニ相成用事ニ事寄不宜夜行等有之族も相聞候以来右体之
儀堅無用ニ候尤役儀ニ而振舞等ニ差越候節夜ニ入罷帰候儀ハ可為格別事
一一家親類縁者たり共用事有之歟又ハ見廻等ニ罷越候而も先方主人留守之節ハ面
々心得も可有之事
一御家中之家内茶屋或ハ芝居都而遊山等ニ差越とも同道を拱？可差越候尤面々心
得も可有之事
但先達而被仰出候通万端奢かましき儀無之様可相心得事
一御家中之面々風儀悪敷族も有之忍体ニ而致夜行不心得之儀も相聞候或ハ殺
生等ニ罷出候而も振合悪敷趣相聞候間以来ハ右体之儀無之様可致事
一御家中ニ而是迄度々妻女致離縁候儀ハ不得止儀ニハ可有之候得共自然与家内取〆り

郡奉行 土屋五郎大夫
○私の支配下の牧野嶋村の百姓専助という者は、以前から馬喰商売を行っており、御家中の下級の者の乗馬など一頭二頭ずつは繋ぎ置いているため、居屋敷の内に馬場の形もあります。手持ちの馬を貸馬にして少しずつ借馬代を取り、御納所の足しにしたいとの願いの通り御免許されました。その段申し渡すべき旨、なお又別紙の通り申し付けるべき旨。

一、専助屋敷の内の馬場においては、身分の低い御扶持人や御家中の軽い奉公人、或いは町人百姓であっても、希望次第で乗ることに差し支えはないこと。
但し、屋敷外では右のような身分の低い者共へ借馬を乗らせることは御法度があるので、堅く相成らないこと。
一、御家中の面々が遠乗りや西の馬場・桜馬場へ引き出して乗ることは差し支えないこと。
但し、専助屋敷内において身分の低い者共と一緒に乗るようになっては、不礼を咎める問題が生じるので、専助の屋敷内では堅く無用とすること。
九月二十九日
右の趣を心得のため御別当役へも申し聞かすべき旨につき、国分次郎大夫を招いて申し達した。月番江口左十郎。
思し召しをもって御家中へ仰せ出される御書付 諸月番へ
一、近頃御家中の態度が悪く、振る舞いや集会等の節にみだらな酒宴等に及ぶことは宜しくない。畢竟このような事があれば、自然と取り締まりが行き届かず、不埒な事も起こるであろうため、以来このような事は堅く無用とすること。
但し、家内にある面々は別して心得があるべきこと。
一、家内の他行の儀、近頃みだらになり、用事にかこつけて宜しからぬ夜行等がある族も相聞こえる。以来右のような事は堅く無用である。もっとも役儀での振る舞い等に出席した節、夜に入って帰ることは格別とすること。
一、一家親類縁者であっても、用事があるか又は見舞い等に出向いても、先方の主人が留守の節は面々心得があるべきこと。
一、御家中の家内が茶屋或いは芝居、すべて遊山等に出かける時も同道者を伴って出かけるべきこと。もっとも面々心得があるべきこと。
但し、先達って仰せ出された通り、万端奢侈がましい事のないよう心得るべきこと。
一、御家中の面々で風儀の悪い族もあり、忍び歩きで夜行し、不心得な事も相聞こえる。或いは殺生等に出かけても振る舞いが悪い趣相聞こえるので、以来はこのような事のないようにすること。

○A farmer named Sensuke from Makinoshima Village under my jurisdiction has been conducting horse trading business for some time, keeping one or two horses for lower-ranking retainers to ride. Since there is a riding ground within his residential compound, he wishes to rent out his horses for small fees to supplement his tax payments. His request has been approved as submitted. 1. Recently, the conduct of retainers has been poor, with indecent banquets and the like occurring during gatherings and meetings, which is unacceptable. Ultimately, if such behavior continues, discipline will naturally deteriorate and misconduct will occur. Henceforth, such behavior is strictly forbidden.
However, family members should be especially mindful.
1. Regarding family members going out, this has recently become excessive, with some reportedly engaging in improper nighttime activities under the pretext of business. Henceforth, such behavior is strictly forbidden. Of course, returning home at night after attending official banquets is an exception.
