一 当村石切之儀悉詮仕今年書上之
外壱人茂無御座候然上者石切共旅
先ニ而随分実躰正路ニ相迫り候様申付
承知いたし候若御帳面除キ隠置候処
御聴及候ハヽ其元御注進可被成候条承知
仕候上者拙者共何様成御咎被
仰付候共少茂御恨無之候為後日依

一、当村の石切の件について、詳しく調査いたしまして、今年書き上げました以外に一人もおりません。そうである以上は、石切たちが旅先においても十分に実直正当な行いをするよう申し付け、承知いたしました。もし帳面から除いて隠し置いている者がいることをお聞き及びになりましたら、そちら様へご報告くださいますよう、承知いたしております。そうである以上は、私どもがどのようなお咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しも恨みに思うことはございません。後日の証拠のため、よって件の如し。

Given this situation, we have instructed the stone cutters to conduct themselves with complete honesty and propriety even when traveling, and we acknowledge this responsibility. Should you hear that there are those we have excluded from the records and concealed, please report this to the authorities, as we acknowledge. Given this understanding, no matter what punishment may be imposed upon us, we will harbor no resentment whatsoever. For future reference, therefore, as stated herein.
