一札之事
一 町内夜番之儀先年より宮坂も一統順番ニ
被相勤候所此度御村方御請之上藤屋郡治殿
を以毎月月頭ニ朔日之夜より四日之夜迄一ケ月
四夜起急度被相勤町内え御順達被成度候段
被及御請候ニ付町内も相請候上右之通承知相極
申候然ル上者已来如何様之儀御座候共毎月
四夜起急度御勤可被成候其余者町内ニ而
相勤可申候如斯相極【押印あり】候上者末々ニ至り
毛頭違乱候間鋪候為後日一札差出

一札の件
一、町内夜番の件について、先年より宮坂も一同順番で勤めていたところ、この度御村方でお受けいただいた上で、藤屋郡治殿を通じて、毎月月初めの朔日の夜から四日の夜まで、一か月に四夜ずつ必ず勤めていただき、町内へ順次お達しいただきたい旨をお受けいただいたので、町内も承諾した上で右の通り承知し決定いたします。そうである以上は、今後いかなることがあっても毎月四夜ずつ必ずお勤めいただき、その他は町内で勤めます。このように決定した以上は、末代に至るまで決して違反することはありません。後日の証拠として一札を差し出します。よって書面の通りです。

Written Pledge
Regarding the matter of town night watch duties: Previously, Miyasaka (village) has been taking turns with everyone in performing these duties. This time, after your village accepted our request, through Fujiya Gunji, we have requested that you reliably perform night watch duties four nights each month, from the first night to the fourth night of each month beginning, and that this arrangement be communicated in turn throughout the town. Since you have accepted this request and the town has also agreed, we hereby acknowledge and confirm this arrangement. Therefore, regardless of any future circumstances, you shall reliably perform four nights of duty each month, and the town will handle the remaining nights. Having made this agreement, there shall never be any violations extending to future generations. We submit this written pledge as evidence for posterity.
