英語訳
One item: The imperial rescript (senjи) is placed in the inspection box (rankan). The deputy envoy Aoki Genba no Daijō carries it as far as the veranda of the御車寄 (o-kurumayose, carriage entrance), where it is handed to the Ōgeki of Oshikōji. The Ōgeki carries the inspection box out along the veranda, and the kōke (master of court ceremonial) Arima Hyōbu no Taifu comes forward to receive it. The rescript is prepared and presented before the Lord for inspection. During the inspection, Hyōbu no Taifu withdraws to the lower dais area, while the Ōgeki withdraws to the veranda. The order of the rescripts is as follows:
Minister of the Interior (Naidaijin)
Commander of the Right Imperial Guard (as before)
Personal armed escort (zuishin hyōjō)
Ox-drawn carriage (gissha)
Two rescripts (ryō-senji)
Five documents in total
Each document is inspected one by one. Afterward, Andō Tsushima no Kami stores them in the御納戸構 (o-nando-kamae, the storage area). Arima Hyōbu no Taifu comes forward to take the inspection box, carries it out to the western veranda, and hands it to Matsudaira Ukyō no Suke. When a packet of gold dust (sakin) is brought out to the veranda, the Ōgeki comes forward to receive the inspection box, accepts it reverently, and withdraws.
