又左衛門殿より御案内有之候処甚五兵衛此方江早速参委細

一翌朝甚五兵衛より年寄衆江手紙に而使者両人同道甚
五兵衛町宅江罷越候様申来早速彦右衛門殿同道に而両人
罷越候処甚五兵衛幷御近習番頭高岡代右衛門を以被仰聞
候は采女正様思召寄をも承り届赤穂之者共納得
現代語訳
一、右に付いて早速、采女正様の御家頼中川甚五兵衛へ、彦右衛門殿・又左衛門殿より御案内があったところ、甚五兵衛がこちらへ早速参り、委細を申し達し、口上書を相渡し申したところ、何れもの思し召しについて一通りはご尤もに存じる。御法式の筋について、采女正殿にも聞き届けを申された義もあるような様子であり、その段を申し上げる由を申された。
一、翌朝、甚五兵衛より年寄衆へ手紙にて、使者両人同道で甚五兵衛の町宅へ罷り越すよう申し来たり、早速彦右衛門殿同道にて両人罷り越したところ、甚五兵衛並びに御近習番頭高岡代右衛門を以て仰せ聞かされたのは、采女正様の思し召しをも承り、赤穂の者共が納得することについて。

1. Regarding the above matter, Lord Hikouemon and Lord Matasaemon immediately sent notification to Nakagawa Jingobyōe, a retainer of Lord Uneme-no-kami. Jingobyōe promptly came here, conveyed the details, and submitted the oral statement. He said that their lordships' intentions were generally reasonable. Regarding matters of protocol, it appears that Lord Uneme-no-kami has also received and acknowledged certain matters, and he stated that he would report on these points.
1. The following morning, Jingobyōe sent a letter to the council of elders requesting that the two envoys accompany him to Jingobyōe's town residence. Lord Hikouemon promptly went there together with both envoys. Through Jingobyōe and御近習番頭 (close attendant captain) Takaoka Daiyuemon, they were informed that Lord Uneme-no-kami had received their intentions and regarding the satisfaction of the Akō retainers.
