を以自分義病気に付尾崎新浜辺江退申候由申越直に船に而
他所江走去候様風聞有之候故内蔵助方ゟ片岡源五右衛門を以此
節他領江立退候義は無用之由伊藤五右衛門八嶋惣右衛門方へ申遣
候得は両人曽而不存候由申越候扨九郎兵衛義は如風聞何国やらん
同性群右衛門始家内不残同時に立去候由但群右衛門をは取落候由
風説有之候也
一同十五日御目付中鵤村御止宿之節内蔵助申上候は大野九郎
兵衛義病気故城内退出仕候御受取御両所様江内蔵助
現代語訳
一 四月十三日、大野九郎兵衛より田中清兵衛・田中権左衛門へ手紙をもって、自分は病気のため尾崎新浜辺へ退去する旨を申し越した。直ちに船で他所へ逃走するという風聞があったため、内蔵助方より片岡源五右衛門を通じて、この節他領へ立ち退くことは無用である旨を伊藤五右衛門・八嶋惣右衛門方へ申し遣わした。しかし両人とも全く知らない旨を申し越してきた。さて九郎兵衛については、風聞の通り何国かへ、同姓の群右衛門をはじめ家内残らず同時に立ち去った由である。ただし群右衛門については取り落とした（逃した）という風説もある。
一 同十五日、御目付中が鵤村に御宿泊の節、内蔵助が申し上げたのは、大野九郎兵衛は病気のため城内を退出いたしました、との御受取を御両所様へ内蔵助が

One: On the 13th day of the 4th month, Ōno Kurōbei sent a letter to Tanaka Seibei and Tanaka Gonzaemon stating that due to his illness, he was withdrawing to the Ozaki Shinhama area. Since there were rumors that he would immediately flee by ship to another place, Kuranosuke sent word through Kataoka Gengoemon to Itō Goemon and Yashima Sōemon that withdrawal to other domains at this time was unnecessary. However, both men replied that they knew nothing about this. As for Kurōbei, as rumored, he departed to some unknown province, taking with him his entire household including Gunemon of the same surname, all leaving simultaneously. However, there are also rumors that Gunemon was "missed" (allowed to escape).
