一土佐守様当御地御通りに付兼而大石内蔵助罷出御家老衆迄願可
申と奉存候処未赤穂郷村之御用相仕舞不申内引払之義難仕
不罷出候依之私儀申含各様江得御意候
一此一件 土佐守様達 御聴候義今年は芸州様六月御暇之
様奉承知候 土佐守様御下向之上芸州様江御対談被遊候様可
奉願候処芸州様此間御帰国に付於此元御近習衆頼入年寄衆

一、土佐守様が当地を御通りになることについて、かねてより大石内蔵助が罷り出て御家老衆まで願い申すべきと存じておりましたところ、未だ赤穂郷村の御用を仕舞い申さぬうちに引き払うことは難しく仕り、罷り出ませんでした。これにより私が申し含め、各様へ御意を得ました。
一、この一件を土佐守様の御聴に達する義について、今年は芸州様が六月に御暇になるように承知いたしております。土佐守様が御下向の上、芸州様へ御対談なされるよう願い奉るべきところ、芸州様がこの間御帰国につき、この元において御近習衆に頼み入り、年寄衆まで申し達しました事。

Item: Regarding Lord Tosa-no-kami's passage through this area, Ōishi Kuranosuke had intended to come forth and make a petition to the senior retainers, but since the official business of Akō's villages had not yet been completed, it would be difficult to withdraw, so he did not come forth. Therefore, I conveyed this and obtained consent from the various parties.
Item: Regarding bringing this matter to Lord Tosa-no-kami's attention, we understand that Lord Geishū will receive leave in the sixth month this year. We had intended to request that Lord Tosa-no-kami hold discussions with Lord Geishū after his return journey, but since Lord Geishū recently returned to his domain, we entreated his close attendants here and communicated this matter up to the senior counselors.
