なお、私自身が上京して右の趣旨をお聞かせすべきでございますが、こちらの事情がまだ片付かず、終わりの程度が計り難くございますので、幸い惣右衛門、次郎右衛門が上京いたしますので、右の通り申し含めました。お聞き届けのほど、ひとえにお頼み申し上げます。両人が上京いたします意味も、きっとご相談申し上げることでございましょう。以上。
○一両の御代官衆の手代中へ内蔵助より具足一領ずつ贈りました。この他、御目付衆並びに御家頼中、両御代官中、手代中へも程よき進物をいたしたとのことです。

Furthermore, I myself should travel to the capital to explain these matters to you directly, but as affairs here remain unsettled and it is difficult to predict when they will be concluded, I am fortunate that Sōzaemon and Jirōzaemon are traveling to the capital, so I have entrusted them with this message. I earnestly request that you hear them out. The purpose of these two men's journey to the capital will surely be a matter for consultation. That is all.
○To the assistants of the various magistrates, Kuranosuke presented one suit of armor each. In addition to this, he also presented appropriate gifts to the inspectors, household retainers, both magistrates, and their assistants.
One, on the twenty-first day of the fifth month, I called upon Lord Shinzaemon, where I was served soup and sake. Regarding Ōno Kurōbei, as he has departed from this place in a most irresponsible manner, I have placed his various belongings in the custody of the town officials, and until further instructions come from his relatives, they have been sealed and transferred from the original custodian to the [new] custodian.
