《割書：この挨拶を大声で申されたので、よく聞こえたと勤番の衆が申されたとのこと》【朱】この能登守殿の挨拶は○印である
○一つ、内匠頭殿の件、早速上聞に達した。右の通りにつき、内匠頭様が殿中において不調法な行いをなされたため、田村右京大夫殿へ《割書：建前三万石従四位下諸大夫、居城奥州一の関》お預けになった。平川口より大名の駕篭のように縄網をかけ、右京大夫殿の家来で先頭に騎馬士一人、後に騎馬士二人、御駕篭の前後左右に棒突三四十人が取り囲み、三道具も持たせたという。即刻、右京大夫殿のお屋敷愛宕の下へお引き取りになった。内匠頭様へ書付をもって左の通り申し渡された。

○One: Regarding Lord Takumi-no-kami's matter, it was promptly reported to His Excellency [the Shogun]. Due to the above circumstances, because Lord Takumi-no-kami committed improper conduct within the palace, he was placed under the custody of Lord Tamura Ukyō-no-dayū 《Marginal note: nominal 30,000 koku, junior fourth rank lower grade, shodaibu rank, castle at Ichinokawa in Ōshū Province》. From Hirakawa-guchi, like a daimyo's palanquin, rope netting was placed over it, with Lord Ukyō-no-dayū's retainers - one mounted samurai in front, two mounted samurai behind, and thirty to forty pole-bearers surrounding the palanquin on all sides, also carrying the three implements. Immediately, he was taken to Lord Ukyō-no-dayū's residence below Atago. The following was conveyed to Lord Takumi-no-kami in writing:
