追々そのような者たちがおり、遠方に住んでいる者は先ず京都・大坂辺りへ出てくるように申し遣わしました。ところが、一身のうちに粕谷勘左衛門の娘婿で、伏見奉行建部内匠頭殿政信の御家中にいる者がおりました。この縁組は建部殿の御在所である播州林田において、赤穂に程近く、互いに都合の良い時に取り決めたものでした。さて、その節は建部内匠頭殿が伏見へお引越しになっていたため、勘左衛門の娘婿もその地に住んでおりました。近辺にいるので娘婿の方へも参り、この存念を話しましたが、建部殿と吉良殿とは御縁者でいらっしゃるため、家臣にも漏れ聞こえて取り沙汰がありました。その他、浪人どもは随分隠密に行動していましたが、大勢のことなので京都・大坂・伏見辺りが騒がしく、物の買い払い等をしている由の風聞があり、その家中より吉良家へ内通もあったのでしょうか。かの屋敷の用心が格別厳しくなった由で、内蔵助の方へ同心の者が
