振に被致候何共合点不参候様子承り候上に而は遂相談宜事も候は此
方よりもすゝめ又心底に不落候は何ヶ度も差留可申候こそ親類之道

春のことが良いだろう」と頻繁に申すので、色々と相談の上で、大方その通りに決着いたしました。
一つ、広島から大学殿のお迎えのため、船奉行植木小右衛門が《割書：病気・忌中》のため、仮船奉行進藤八郎右衛門に沖権大夫を申し付けて差し上らせました。これは八郎右衛門は源四郎《割書：進藤瀬兵衛の兄なり》にとっては伯父にあたります。かねてから権大夫が申し合わせていたのでしょうか、源四郎の一件について色々と尋ねましたが、何も申し聞かせませんでした。そのため内蔵助が参りましても、なかなか言い出しもしない様子でした。そこで、また源四郎に申すには「この度、この地の皆の心底が只事でないように見える一件について、存念があるようで明らかです。しかし先日より内密のことどもを尋ねたところ、そのようなことはないという態度をとられています。何とも合点がいかない様子を承った上では、相談を遂げて良いことであれば、こちらからも勧めましょう。また心底に落ちないことがあれば、何度でも思い止まらせるのが親類の道理
