一討入之覚悟勿論事には候得共惣様必死之心底決定之事に候
右退口之節之事申合置は時に至り心得之ために而候退候節之
覚悟胸中にふくみ候而は討入候所強臆も可有之か然共退去候
而も必死之面々に候得は討入候所丈夫之覚悟専要に候不及申
候得共銘々治定紛【粉ヵ】骨之働尤に候以上

現代語訳
一、討ち入りの覚悟は言うまでもないことですが、皆様必死の心底を決定することです。
右の退口の節のことを申し合わせておくのは、時に至って心得のためです。退く際の覚悟を胸中に含んでいては、討ち入る所で怯みもあるでしょうか。しかしながら退去しても必死の面々ですから、討ち入る所での丈夫な覚悟が専ら重要です。申すまでもないことですが、銘々が治定し粉骨砕身の働きが最も大切です。以上
