とかくその件は埒が明かず、それより上野介殿への茶会の日取りを承って、段々と様子を確実に知ることができました。大方茶会の日の夜は在宅していらっしゃると察して襲撃を仕掛けようと申し合わせ、霜月二十三日の夜に決めましたところ、事情があって俄かに延期となり、また極月六日の夜に決めましたところ、御成（将軍の訪問）があってあちらの茶会も延期となり、その日も実行できませんでした。
