現代語訳
▢一 上野介殿の屋敷前にいた仕立屋の長右衛門は、かねてから用聞きをしていたため、火事と思い込み、鳶口や鉞を持って参ったところ、手向かいと思われて打ち捨てられた。
▢一 左兵衛殿のお手傷は、後に少しあった。向こう傷で薄手が一か所、袈裟懸けが一か所、七寸ほどで少し深手である。栗原道有が療治したという。
▢一 上野介殿の骸には、両手のうちに三か所、左の股に一か所、膝頭に二か所、ふくらはぎに一か所の傷があった。脇差に血が付いて固まり、柄に切り込みがあった。刀は二尺三寸で無銘、拵えは鹿の皮のように見えた。脇差は見当たらなかった。左右田孫兵衛、岩瀬舎人、斎藤宮内の三人とも、検視・見分の際に立ち会った。

▢ One: A tailor named Chōemon who was in front of Lord Kōzuke-no-suke's mansion had been serving as an informant. Thinking it was a fire, he came with fire hooks and hatchets, but was struck down as he was mistaken for someone offering resistance.
▢ One: Lord Saheibe had minor hand wounds afterward. There was one shallow frontal wound and one diagonal slash wound about seven inches long that was somewhat deep. It is said that Kurihara Dōyū treated them.
▢ One: On Lord Kōzuke-no-suke's corpse, there were three wounds on both hands, one wound on the left thigh, two wounds on the kneecap, and one wound on the calf. Blood had dried and stuck to the short sword, and there were cuts in the handle. The sword was two shaku and three sun long, unsigned, with a scabbard that appeared to be made of deer hide. The short sword was not found. Sayūda Magobei, Iwase Toneri, and Saitō Kunaï - all three were present during the investigation and examination.
