三十郎と云豆腐屋居申候此者之所へ何れも立寄湯茶
抔給申候弐三人は湯漬致所望給申候也
〇一無縁寺より之道筋松平遠江守殿御屋敷辻番所に而留め
申候に付立留り居申候内留守居罷出候故堀部弥兵衛出合申候
兼而存知之者故扨々久敷候此方如何如此と有増咄し候へは
彼留守居も珍重〳〵早く御通候へと申留守居は其侭引込申候
松平陸奥守殿御屋敷前に而も右之通之首尾之由泉岳
寺迄無滞引取申候

〇一十二月十五日之朝六半時過無縁寺ゟ直に吉田忠左衛門富森助右衛門
現代語訳
三十郎という豆腐屋がおりました。この者の所へ皆が立ち寄り、湯茶などを頂きました。二、三人は湯漬けを所望して頂きました。
〇一 無縁寺からの道筋で、松平遠江守殿の御屋敷の辻番所で止められましたので、立ち止まっておりますと、留守居が出てまいりましたので、堀部弥兵衛が応対しました。かねてより知っている者でしたので「さてさて久しぶりです。こちらはいかがでしょうか」などと話をしますと、その留守居も「ご苦労様です。早くお通りください」と申し、留守居はそのまま引き下がりました。松平陸奥守殿の御屋敷前でも同様の経緯があったということで、泉岳寺まで滞りなく引き取りました。

There was a tofu merchant named Sanzaburō. Everyone stopped by his place and received hot tea and such. Two or three people requested and received hot tea poured over rice.
〇One: On the route from Muenoji Temple, we were stopped at the checkpoint of Lord Matsudaira Tōtōmi-no-kami's mansion, so while we were standing there, the caretaker came out, and Horibe Yaheiji responded to him. Since he was someone known from before, they exchanged pleasantries like "It has been quite a while. How are things on your end?" The caretaker also said respectfully, "Thank you for your service. Please pass through quickly," and the caretaker withdrew. The same thing happened in front of Lord Matsudaira Mutsu-no-kami's mansion, and we withdrew to Sengakuji Temple without further delay.
