一直鎗八本十文字六本鎌鎗七本長刀二振仕込刀四本
《割書：但刀に柄付｜候もの也》右弐十七本泉岳寺迄持参
〇一何れも山門へ這入候節原惣右衛門申候は当院は門三ヶ所に有之候間
いつれも左様に可被相心得と申夫ゟ御墓所へ参申候事済に而本堂
左之方衆寮廻廊抔に集草鞋はき替只今にても上杉家ゟ
討手参候はゝ無油断様にと何もへ下知仕候其内一両人かわる〳〵御墓
所之首之番仕候方丈ゟ粥なと出し炭火を起しあたらせ候由何も
夜前之草臥に而臥り折居申候得は大石主税罷出無行義之臥り
不申様にと申候に付何れも任其意候と也
現代語訳
一、直槍八本、十文字槍六本、鎌槍七本、長刀二振り、仕込刀四本
《割書：ただし刀に柄を付けたもの》右二十七本を泉岳寺まで持参した。
○一、一同が山門へ入った際、原惣右衛門が申すには「当院は門が三ヶ所にございますので、皆様そのようにご承知おきください」と申した。それから御墓所へ参り、事が済んで本堂左の方の衆寮や廻廊などに集まり、草履を履き替えた。今にでも上杉家から討手が参ったならば油断のないようにと、一同に指示を出した。その間、一両人が代わる代わる御墓所の首の番をした。方丈から粥などを出し、炭火を起こして暖まらせたという。一同は夜前の疲れで横になって休んでいたところ、大石主税が出てきて「行儀の悪い横になり方をしないように」と申したので、一同はその通りにしたという。

○One: When everyone entered through the mountain gate, Hara Sōzaemon said, "This temple has gates in three locations, so please be aware of this." From there they went to the grave site, and when the matter was finished, they gathered in the monks' quarters and corridors to the left of the main hall, changing into straw sandals. Should strike forces come from the Uesugi family at any moment, they gave orders to everyone to remain vigilant. During this time, one or two men took turns standing guard over the head at the grave site. Gruel and such were brought out from the abbot's quarters, and charcoal fires were lit for them to warm themselves. While everyone was lying down resting from the previous night's exhaustion, Ōishi Chikara came out and said, "Do not lie down in an undisciplined manner," so everyone complied with his instruction.
