下されるようにと申したので、内蔵助は硯を借りて返答を認め、三人に相渡した。三人とも帰った。
○一、後から参った御歩行目付原田与一右衛門・江口文左衛門・田中九兵衛・山尾助右衛門・増野庄右衛門・宮田孫三郎・梶山与三兵衛、御小人目付十人、御使者九人。
○一、伯耆守宅へ七時半に赴いた。右の者どもが芝泉岳寺から伯耆守宅へ参る由の注進が追々あり、ただ今赴いた由。長道具を持参したところ、伯耆守の門前において捨て置いた由。右四十四人が門内へ入り、一人ずつ呼び出して大小を取り通し、御預けが相済んだ節は夜八時半になった由。

As requested, Kuranosuke borrowed an inkstone, wrote a reply, and handed it to the three men. All three returned.
○One: The foot soldier inspectors who came afterward: Harada Yoichirōemon, Eguchi Bunzaemon, Tanaka Kyūbē, Yamao Sukeuremon, Masuno Shōemon, Miyata Magosaburo, Kajiyama Yozaemon, ten minor inspectors, and nine messengers.
○One: They went to Lord Hoki-no-kami's residence at half past seven. Reports came one after another that these men were coming from Shiba Sengakuji Temple to Lord Hoki-no-kami's residence, and that they had just arrived. They had brought their long weapons, but left them at Lord Hoki-no-kami's gate. The forty-four men entered through the gate, were called out one by one, had their swords (long and short) taken, and by the time the custody arrangements were completed, it was half past eight at night.
○One: On December 15th, the matter of placing Lord Asano Takumi-no-kami's retainers in custody at four locations was [announced] in the palace
