出合候様に申候へとも一人も出合申者無之候夫故火之元気遣ひに存
部屋〳〵迄立入火に水を懸灯をしめし蝋燭之灯しさしは一所に
集め数を改め水を懸引取申候定而御見分之御方様御覧可
被成と奉存候裏之塀に切明け候様成所御座候是ゟ落退候
者も多御座候哉と奉存候其後四十六人之者御門披き引取申候
定而左兵衛様御家来衆慕ひ可申と心静に廻向院迄罷越
相待候へとも相見へ不申候御下知相待候義憚入奉存候得共無是非
泉岳寺へ罷越申候

現代語訳
出合うように申しましたが、一人も出合う者はありませんでした。そのため火の始末が気遣われ、部屋部屋まで立ち入り、火に水をかけ、灯火を消し、蝋燭の灯心は一箇所に集め、数を改めて水をかけて引き取りました。きっと御見分の御方様がご覧になるだろうと存じます。裏の塀に切り開けたような箇所がございます。ここから落ち延びた者も多くいるかと存じます。その後四十六人の者が御門を開いて引き取りました。きっと左兵衛様の御家来衆が慕って来るだろうと、心静かに回向院まで参り相待ちましたが、見当たりませんでした。御下知をお待ちするのは恐れ入ることと存じますが、やむを得ず泉岳寺へ参りました。
