▢一伯耆守殿御申候は最早尋候事無之候間御預け方へ可被相越候
追付可被 仰付候旨鈴木源五右衛門殿水野小左衛門殿御列座に而被
仰渡何れも奉畏候由申上る
▢一水野小左衛門殿御申候は内匠頭殿には能家来を被持御用にも可相
立候処残念之由被申候列座之衆何も同前之挨拶有之候何れ
も頭をさげ居申候
▢一忠左衛門罷立候節伯耆守殿家老井上万右衛門へ向ひ今朝ゟ段々
被入御念御馳走被仰付可奉忘置様も無御座難有仕合に御座候

現代語訳
一、伯耆守殿がおっしゃったのは「もはや尋ねることはございませんので、お預け先へ行かれるがよろしいでしょう。追って仰せ付けられるでしょう」という旨を、鈴木源五右衛門殿、水野小左衛門殿がご列座の中で申し渡され、一同「恐れ入ります」と申し上げました。
一、水野小左衛門殿がおっしゃったのは「内匠頭殿は良い家来をお持ちでした。お役にも立ったでしょうに、残念なことです」と申され、列座の衆も皆同様の挨拶をいたしました。一同頭を下げておりました。
一、忠左衛門が立ち去る際、伯耆守殿の家老井上万右衛門に向かって「今朝から色々とご配慮いただき、お心遣いを仰せ付けられ、忘れることのできないありがたい仕合でございます」という旨を、二度まで繰り返し一礼して申し上げました。
英語訳
One: Lord Hoki-no-kami said, "There is nothing more to inquire about, so you may proceed to your place of custody. Further orders will be given later." This was conveyed by Lord Suzuki Gengozaemon and Lord Mizuno Kozaemon in the assembled company, and all responded "We humbly accept."
One: Lord Mizuno Kozaemon said, "Lord Takumi-no-kami had excellent retainers. They would have served him well in official duties—what a pity." All the assembled lords made similar remarks. Everyone bowed their heads.
One: When Chuuzaemon was about to depart, he turned to Lord Hoki-no-kami's chief retainer Inoue Manuemon and said, "From this morning you have shown us every consideration and kindness—this is a grateful favor we can never forget." He repeated this sentiment twice and bowed respectfully.
