現代語訳
○一、三月十五日、御舎弟浅野大学殿が評定所へお召しになられ、戸田伊豆守殿がお同道でお出でになり、次のように仰せ渡された。
内匠（頭）は吉良上野介に遺恨があるとのことで、時節柄ということも憚らず、殿中において理不尽にも切りつけた段、重々不届き至極であるとお思し召され、切腹を仰せつけられた。これにより大学には閉門を仰せつけられる旨、大御目付溝口摂津守殿、御目付久留十左衛門殿、花房勘右衛門殿がご列座で仰せ渡された。
○一、大学殿のお屋敷は木挽町四丁目
一、右のほか、ご忌み関わりのご一門衆は残らず遠慮を仰せつけられた。

○ First, on the 15th day of the 3rd month, his younger brother Lord Asano Daigaku was summoned to the Council of State (hyōjōsho), accompanied by Lord Toda Izu-no-kami, and the following was proclaimed:
Takumi(-no-kami) harbored resentment against Kira Kōzuke-no-suke and, without regard for the current circumstances, unreasonably attacked him with his sword within the palace. This act was deemed extremely insubordinate and inexcusable, and His Lordship ordered him to commit seppuku. Consequently, Daigaku is ordered into confinement. This was proclaimed in the presence of Senior Inspector Mizoguchi Settsu-no-kami-dono and Inspectors Kuru Jūzaemon-dono and Hanabusa Kan'emon-dono.
○ First, Lord Daigaku's residence was in Kobiki-chō 4th district.
First, besides the above, all clan members related by mourning obligations were ordered into house arrest.
