仕候者此度之人数に余程有之候
一旧臘十三日晩方内蔵助方ゟ与左衛門方江書状箱壱つこさ包壱つ
京都より之町飛脚に作り立持せ越申候赤穂之城引払ゟ此度上州江
押込迄之万帖共赤穂に而寺々江為御菩提田地等附置候書付并京都
紫野瑞光院に石塔建立御茶湯料に山を付置候様子委曲書付
証文其外書付等を取集め差越候由与左衛門披見瑤泉院様
大学様も申上可然存候はゝ宜頼入候由申越候
一内蔵助去々年暮江戸江罷下り窺御機嫌罷出候時分に存念有之
に付御機嫌窺ひ申間敷由与左衛門へ申達其後文通も不仕候由与左衛門咄し申候

した者たちがこの度の人数にかなりいました。
一、去年の十二月十三日の夕方、内蔵助の方から与左衛門の方へ書状箱一つと小包一つを
京都からの町飛脚に仕立てて持参させました。赤穂の城引き払いから今度上野国への
押し込みまでの万帖（記録帳簿）一式、赤穂にて寺々へ菩提供養のために田地等を寄進した書付、並びに京都
紫野瑞光院に石塔建立と御茶湯料に山林を寄進した様子の詳細な書付、
証文その他の書付等を取り集めて差し送ったということです。与左衛門が拝見して、瑤泉院様や
大学様にも申し上げるのがよろしいと存じますならば、よろしくお頼み申しますと申し送りました。
一、内蔵助は一昨年の暮れに江戸に下り、機嫌伺いに参上した時分に思うところがあり、
今後は機嫌伺いはいたしませんと与左衛門へ申し伝え、その後文通もしていないと与左衛門が話しました。

1. On the evening of the thirteenth day of the twelfth month last year, a document box and one package were sent from Kuranosuke's side to Yozaemon's place, carried by a commercial courier from Kyoto. These contained records from the evacuation of Akō Castle to the recent attack in Kōzuke Province, including all account books, documents regarding land donations made to various temples in Akō for memorial services, detailed records of the stone monument erected at Zuikō-in in Murasakino, Kyoto, and the mountain land donated for tea ceremony expenses, along with certificates and other collected documents. Yozaemon examined them and sent word that if it would be appropriate to report these matters to Lady Yōzen-in and Lord Daigaku, please do so.
1. When Kuranosuke went down to Edo at the end of the year before last to pay his respects, he had certain thoughts and told Yozaemon that he would no longer come to pay his respects, and since then they have not corresponded, according to what Yozaemon related.
