この事は武士の道として誠に殊勝至極であり、感心させられるところである。しかしながら、上野介が内匠に対して手向かいをしなかったとはいえ、高家に対する狼藉の段は、その罪を逃れ難い。よって銘々（討ち入りした者たち）の宅において切腹を申し付けられた条、その意を得られるべきである。以上。
