右之通上使之衆書付を以被仰渡之何れも上下着 上意之趣
謹而承之武法に被 仰付候段別而難有仕合に奉存候由一同に御請申上る

右の通り上使の衆が書付をもって仰せ渡されたところ、いずれも上下とも着座し、上意の趣を謹んで承り、武法に仰せ付けられた段、格別ありがたい仕合いに存じ奉る由、一同に御請け申し上げる。
○一 細川殿にて荒木十左衛門殿が申されたのは、内蔵助には先年赤穂において御意を得た。今度の始末はもはや是非を申すに及ばず、まずは御本望を遂げられ御満足と推し量る。しかしながら今日上使をもって仰せ出された趣は、近頃とても御残念に存ずる。とはいえ今日、吉良左兵衛の件も領知を召し放たれ諏訪安芸守へ御預けになった。もっともこの段は上意ではないけれども、御自分のため御心得として申し入れる由を御申しになったところ、内蔵助が申したのは、御心入れの御意浅からず忝い仕合い、言語に絶して辱く存じ奉る。左兵衛殿には全く御恨みもございません。誠にこの期に至って御懇ろな御言葉に預かり忝く存じます。先年赤穂へ御越しになった時
