迚涙と共に【朱挿入：両人】内蔵助江参候内蔵助早速対面何とて親子連に而参

赤穂江一番に参候もの此喜兵衛親子に而候

意之志に而赤穂へ罷越候也

現代語訳
ということで涙と共に【朱挿入：両人】内蔵助のもとへ参った。内蔵助は早速対面し、「なぜ親子連れで参ったのか」と申した。親子は申すには、「御屋敷も引き渡しが済み、当御城地を終に拝見することができませんでした。御厚恩を受けた私どもですので、もはや見納めと思い参りました」という挨拶をしたとのことである。
【朱】右の挨拶を内蔵助は直ちに落合与左衛門に物語ったとのこと
赤穂へ一番に参った者は、この喜兵衛親子であった。
○一、奥田孫大夫《割書：百五十石》高田群兵衛《割書：二百石》堀部安兵衛《割書：二百石》この三人も同じ志で赤穂へ参った。
○一、御死体受け取りに参った六人のうち、片岡源五右衛門、田中貞四郎、磯貝十郎左衛門、中村清右衛門の四人は泉岳寺において落髪し、一七日（初七日）が過ぎてから赤穂へ参った。
一、この折、江戸の両家老安井彦右衛門、藤井又左衛門も田村右京大夫殿へ

And so, with tears【red insertion: both men】they went to see Kuranosuke. Kuranosuke immediately met with them and asked, "Why have you come as father and son together?" The father and son replied, "The mansion has been handed over, and we were unable to see our castle grounds one last time. Having received great kindness from our lord, we thought this would be our final farewell and came here." This was their greeting.

These father and son, Kihei, were the first to arrive in Akō.
○ Okuda Magodayū《marginal note: 150 koku》, Takada Gunbei《marginal note: 200 koku》, and Horibe Yabei《marginal note: 200 koku》—these three men also went to Akō with the same resolve.
○ Among the six men who went to receive the lord's remains, four—Kataoka Gengoemon, Tanaka Sadashirō, Isogai Jūzaemon, and Nakamura Seiemon—shaved their heads at Sengaku-ji temple and went to Akō after the first seven-day memorial period had passed.
