安右衛門《割書：十五石三人扶持》を早使として派遣し、四月六日に赤穂へ帰った。右両使の意趣は、藤左衛門・三平が申し来た趣旨の返言の他には、変わったことは何もなかった。
○一、同日より札座へ両替の者が多数詰めかけ騒動となったため、増員として役人・侍五六人ずつを配置した。さて又、兼ねてより札座が心当たりとしていた浜手・在方などへの貸付金も通常通りには回収できず、出札の高より用意金高が不足したため、翌二十日より六歩で両替することとなった。
○一、原惣右衛門・大石瀬左衛門が三月十九日の夜戌の後刻（午後9時頃）に赤穂へ参着し、委細の義について家中の面々を城へ招いて申し達した。戸田采女正殿・浅野美濃守殿並びに大学様より、内蔵助・九郎兵衛・田中清兵衛・植村与五左衛門へ御連名の御書を下され、両人が持参した。御文面は不明である。

Yasuemon 《marginal note: 15 koku, support for 3 people》 was dispatched as an express messenger and returned to Akō on the 6th day of the 4th month. The purpose of these two messengers was nothing other than to bring back replies to what Tōzaemon and Sanpei had conveyed - there was nothing else of note.
○One: From the same day, many money changers crowded into the currency exchange office (fudasza), causing a disturbance, so additional officials and samurai, five or six at a time, were stationed there. Furthermore, the loans that the currency exchange office had previously made to coastal areas and rural districts could not be collected as usual, and since the reserve funds fell short of the amount of issued notes, from the 20th day onward, exchange was conducted at six bu [to the ryō].
○One: Hara Sōemon and Ōishi Sezaemon arrived in Akō on the night of the 19th day of the 3rd month at the late hour of the Dog (around 9 PM), and regarding detailed matters, they summoned the retainers to the castle to make their report. From Toda Uneme-no-shō-dono, Asano Mino-no-kami-dono, and Daigaku-sama, a joint letter was sent to Kuranosuke, Kurōbei, Tanaka Seibei, and Uemura Yogozaemon, which the two men brought with them. The contents of the letter are unknown.
