小判一両なけ出しみせの四斗樽取出し手鎗の石突
にて鏡を突抜茶碗に而皆々給被申候亭主硯紙を
出せと被申候に付持出候得は鼻紙に書付被申候
山をぬく刀も折て雪の松 大高源五 子葉
此手は手負に而殊外いたみ候様に相見申候此手負を兎哉
角致世話候人我等も可仕とて書付被申候
寒塩の毛をむしらるゝ行衛哉 富森助右衛門春抱【俳号は春帆とあるので誤記か】
更は首に追付やとて立被申候なけ給候鼻紙袋之内に金
子弐両御座候粘封し〆其上に書付
現代語訳
小判一両を投げ出し、店の四斗樽を取り出し、手槍の石突で樽の蓋を突き抜き、茶碗で皆々が飲まれました。亭主に硯と紙を出せと申されましたので持ち出しましたところ、鼻紙に書き付けられました。
「山をぬく刀も折れて雪の松 大高源五 子葉」
この者は手負いで殊の外痛んでいる様子に見受けられました。この手負いの者をあれこれと世話をしている人も俳句を詠むとして書き付けられました。
「寒汐の毛をむしらるる行方かな 富森助右衛門春抱」
「もう首（討ち取った首）に追いつこう」と言って立ち去られました。投げ渡された鼻紙袋の中に金子二両がございました。封をして締め、その上に書き付け
英語訳
They threw out one koban gold coin, took out a four-to barrel from the shop, pierced through the lid with the butt end of a spear, and everyone drank from tea bowls. They ordered the shopkeeper to bring out an inkstone and paper, so when I brought them out, they wrote on tissue paper:
"The sword that could move mountains also breaks - snowy pine, Ōtaka Gengo, Konoha"
This person appeared to be wounded and seemed to be in considerable pain. The person who was caring for this wounded man in various ways also composed a poem and wrote it down:
"Cold tide - being plucked of feathers, what destination? Tomimori Sukeemon Shunpō"
Saying "Now let us catch up with the head," they departed. In the tissue paper bag they threw down, there were two ryō in gold coins. They sealed it shut and wrote on top of it
