可申と有之候処家老 公儀を憚先つ其通りに被成
候様に申諫暫見合候由其後御月番御老中より 公儀捌に

一十七日上野介殿死骸取置候様にとの事故菩提所赤木明神
之下万松院に而葬送有之候由

現代語訳
申し上げるべきであるとのことであったが、家老は「幕府を憚って、まずはそのとおりにするように」と諫言し、しばらく様子を見ることになったということである。その後、御月番の御老中より「幕府の裁きに任せることになったので、構わないように」との連絡があったとも言われている。
一、十七日、上野介殿の死骸を取り置くようにとのことで、菩提所である赤坂明神の下の万松院にて葬送が行われたということである。

Although there was talk that this should be reported, the chief retainer advised, "Out of deference to the shogunate, let us first proceed as planned," and it was decided to wait and observe the situation for a while. Later, it is also said that a message came from the monthly duty senior councillor stating, "Since this matter will be handled by the shogunate's judgment, you need not concern yourselves with it."
One: On the 17th, as the corpse of Lord Kōzuke-no-suke was to be kept, funeral services were held at Banshō-in temple, located below Akasaka Myōjin, which served as the family temple.
