　　心翁元無禅定門　牧野春斎
　　右之通万松院寺中上野介殿石塔之脇に墓所
　　有之候由
　既に首を継葬礼事済ける上野介殿四代之祖吉良若狭
　守天正年中十二月十四日織田上総介信長之為に被害
　大井川之辺に而首を拾ひ継之三州之寺に葬ける
　円（本ノ侭）山常公と戒名す月日の同しける上に彼領地より数代
　奉公せし者三州之寺江参詣しけれは上野介殿をも円山
　常公と戒名有故和尚にしか〳〵と申けれは後に改て霊

　　右の通り、万松院寺中の上野介殿の石塔の脇に墓所があるということである。

　すでに首を継いで葬礼の儀が済んだ上野介殿の四代前の祖である吉良若狭守は、天正年中の十二月十四日に織田上総介信長のために殺害され、大井川のほとりで首を拾い継いで三河国の寺に葬った。円山常公と戒名した。月日が同じであった上に、彼の領地より数代にわたって奉公していた者が三河国の寺へ参詣したので、上野介殿をも円山常公と戒名したため、和尚にそのことを申し上げたところ、後に改めて霊

　　As noted above, there are grave sites beside the stone pagoda of Lord Kōzuke-no-suke within the grounds of Banshō-in temple.

　The funeral rites having already been completed with the head reattached, Lord Kōzuke-no-suke's ancestor from four generations past, Kira Wakasa-no-kami, was killed by Oda Kazusa-no-suke Nobunaga on the 14th day of the 12th month during the Tenshō era. His head was recovered and reattached near the Ōi River, and he was buried at a temple in Mikawa Province. He was given the posthumous Buddhist name Enzan Jōkō. Since the date was the same, and because retainers who had served his domain for generations made pilgrimages to the temple in Mikawa, Lord Kōzuke-no-suke was also given the posthumous name Enzan Jōkō.
