一御預け之方に而之覚書
大石主税儀隠岐守殿一度御逢被成候迄に而人体御見覚
もなく候間御見知有之度旨取次を以被仰聞候処主税
申候は若輩者に御座候故愚父申教候は上野介殿御屋敷江打
込候迄は必死之存念勿論之事首尾に寄屋敷に而切
腹可仕候左も無之弾正殿御人数を以御加勢候は様子に寄
場を不言討死可仕事も可有之候左様も無之存念達し
無異儀泉岳寺江引取候而切腹可仕義も可有之候夫も差

一、お預けの方での覚書
大石主税の件について、隠岐守殿が一度お会いになった程度で、人となりをご記憶もないので、お見知りおきいただきたい旨を取次を通じて仰せられたところ、主税が申し上げたのは「若輩者でございますので、愚父が申し教えたことには、上野介殿のお屋敷へ打ち込むまでは必死の覚悟は勿論のこと、首尾によっては屋敷で切腹いたすこともございます。そうでなければ、弾正殿がお人数をもってご加勢くださるようであれば、様子によっては場所を選ばず討死することもあるでしょう。そのようなこともなく、本懐を遂げ、無事に泉岳寺へ引き取って切腹することもあるでしょう。それも差し」
