【朱書】この存念（考え）は白地（表立って）には申さず、三人には別の考えがあると申した由。これによって内蔵助、将監などと右の三人は考えが違い、不和となった。
○一つ、外村源左衛門《割書：番頭四百石、役料百石》が広島三次へ行き、三月十九日夜中に出船した。その意図は、札座の通り銀子不足につき才覚（資金調達）、または赤穂表の義について注進のため行った。広島より三次へ二十三日未の後刻（午後二時頃）に到着し、即刻土佐守様の御前に召し出され、御用が相済んで同じ申の刻（午後四時頃）に同所を出発し赤穂へ帰った。三次での馳走人（接待役）は徳永左次兵衛、竹腰猪兵衛である。
○一つ、右の源左衛門が広島にて沖権大夫と対談した由だが、様子は分からない。

[Written in red ink] This intention was not openly stated, but it was said that the three men had different ideas. Due to this, Kuranosuke, Shōgen and others became estranged from these three men due to their differing opinions.
○ One matter: Hokamura Genzaemon (marginal note: head retainer, 400 koku stipend, 100 koku role allowance) went to Miyoshi in Hiroshima, departing by ship on the night of the 19th day of the third month. His purpose was to arrange financing due to insufficient silver funds as mentioned in the exchange records, or to report on matters concerning Akō. He arrived at Miyoshi from Hiroshima at the hour of the Sheep (around 2 PM) on the 23rd, was immediately summoned before Lord Tosa no Kami, completed his official business, and departed the same location at the hour of the Monkey (around 4 PM), returning to Akō. The hosts who provided hospitality at Miyoshi were Tokunaga Sajibei and Takekoshi Ihei.
