上意之趣家中末々迄無違背騒動無之様可被申付候
右之段申達両人奉畏候此節之義に御座候間家中之者共江も
申聞明日御請可申上候今晩は夜に入候間明朝頭立候者共江申聞
御請可仕候由挨拶罷帰其後三汁八菜之料理出る
翌二日昼過内蔵助九郎兵衛使者宿江罷越昨日被仰聞候
御口上之趣何も招寄申聞候御書をも拝見仕せ候処何も
奉畏候由御請申上候尚亦三次御家老中迄御請仕候由申聞候
即刻赤穂発足備前領人改仕候に付色々と申たはかり同
五日三次に帰り右之趣申上る

上意の趣旨について、家中の末端まで違背することなく騒動が起こらないよう申し付けるべきである」
右の件について申し伝えると、両人は畏まって承った。この時節のことでございますので、家中の者どもにも申し聞かせ、明日御請けを申し上げます。今晩は夜に入っておりますので、明朝頭立つ者どもに申し聞かせて御請けをいたします、との挨拶をして帰った。その後、三汁八菜の料理が出された。
翌二日の昼過ぎ、内蔵助と九郎兵衛が使者宿へやって来て、「昨日仰せ聞かされた御口上の趣旨について、皆を招き寄せて申し聞かせました。御書状をも拝見させていただいたところ、皆畏まって承りました」との御請けを申し上げた。なお、三次の御家老中まで御請けをいたします、と申し聞かせた。
即刻赤穂を出発し、備前領の人改めを受けるにあたって色々と言いたくらみ、同五日に三次に帰り、右の趣旨を申し上げた。

the directive from higher authorities should be communicated so that from the senior retainers down to the lowest members of the domain, there shall be no disobedience and no disturbances."
When this matter was conveyed, both men humbly accepted it. "Since this concerns the current situation, we will inform all members of the domain and submit our formal response tomorrow. As it is already nighttime tonight, we will inform the leading retainers in the morning and submit our formal acceptance." With this response, they departed. Afterwards, a meal of three soups and eight dishes was served.
The following day, the second, past noon, Kuranosuke and Kurōbee came to the messenger lodgings and said, "Regarding the verbal message we were told yesterday, we have summoned everyone and informed them. We have also had them read the letter, and all have humbly accepted it." They submitted their formal response and also conveyed that they would send their formal acceptance to the senior retainers in Miyoshi.
He immediately departed Akō, and when undergoing the border inspection of Bizen domain, he made various excuses. On the same fifth day, he returned to Miyoshi and reported the above matters.
