右の書付を受け取り、三月二十九日昼に出発いたし、随分急いで参りましたが、四月四日夜四時に江戸に到着いたしました。安井、藤井の両士並びに粕谷勘左衛門、品川弥助に対面し、口上書を相渡し、内蔵助その他の考えを申し伝えました。しかし江戸においては、両御目付衆はすでにご出発なされていたため、江戸年寄どもが相談し、戸田采女正殿へ持参いたしました。
○一 田中権左衛門、山本左六が帰参したことにより、四月三日に采女正殿よりの御書が同十一日に到着いたしました。

March 29th
Having received the above written statement, we departed at noon on March 29th and hurried as much as possible, but arrived in Edo at four o'clock in the evening on April 4th. We met with both retainers Yasui and Fujii, as well as Kasuya Kanzaemon and Shinagawa Yasuke, handed over the oral statement, and conveyed the intentions of Kuranosuke and others. However, since both metsuke officials had already departed from Edo, the Edo senior retainers consulted among themselves and brought the matter to Lord Toda Uneme-no-shō.
○1 Due to the return of Tanaka Gonzaemon and Yamamoto Saroku, a letter from Lord Uneme-no-shō dated April 3rd arrived on the 11th of the same month.
