○Akitsushima (Dragonfly Island): The beginning of the human emperors is called Emperor Jinmu. In the 31st year of his reign, in the fourth month, when the Emperor made an imperial progress through the various provinces, he named the land Akitsushima because Japan's topography resembled a dragonfly.
○Thus, because Japan is located to the east of China's central land, it is also called Nittō (Land of the Rising Sun) or Fusō-koku (Hibiscus Country). Also, because it is located south of Mount Sumeru, it is called Nansembu-shū.

The total amount of rice fields was 947,801 chō, and the rice yield was 22,085,482 koku.
